What Are Narcissistic Traits?

In hopes of educating you about Narcissistic Abuse, you will find your way out of a toxic situation. Here are what the traits of toxic people look like and know they have a long-lasting destructive effect on the lives and well-being of everyone they are around.
I was in a relationship with a malignant narcissist for many years and it took me years to figure out what was wrong. My narcissistic partner was like a chameleon and hid behind his mask from everyone. Learning about who he was and learning I was in an abusive relationship was the first step to healing from narcissistic abuse.
Here is a list of narcissistic traits that abusers usually have:
- EXCESSIVE SENSE OF ENTITLEMENT
- HOSTILITY TOWARDS OTHERS
- LACK OF EMPATHY
- EXCESSIVE AND CHRONIC RAGE IN RESPONSE TO PERCEIVED SLIGHTS OR CRITICISM
- SELF-CENTEREDNESS
- SHALLOW FLEETING EMOTIONS
- GRANDIOSE SENSE OF SUPERIORITY
- VANITY AND SELF-ABSORPTION
- EXPLOITING OTHERS FOR THEIR GAIN
- SUPERFICIAL RELATIONSHIPS AND FRIENDSHIPS
- PATHOLOGICAL DECEIT AND LYING
- CONDESCENDING AND HAUGHTY ATTITUDE
- SUPERFICIAL GLIB AND CHARM
- LEADING DOUBLE LIVES
- CONSTANT NEED FOR ATTENTION- BE THE CENTER OF ATTENTION
- DANGEROUS RISK-TAKING, PRONE TO BOREDOM, CONSTANT NEED FOR STIMULATION
- INFIDELITY AND NUMEROUS AFFAIRS
- CALLOUSNESS AND SADISM
- SEXUAL DEVIANCE AND SADISM
- IMPULSIVITIY AND IRRESPONSIBILITY
- PROPENSITY FOR VIOLENCE

Some narcissistic people lack not only empathy but also a conscience if they possess antisocial traits which makes them all the more dangerous, sadistic, unpredictable, volatile, and potentially violent.
These traits are such hard-wired behaviors that narcissists do not see who they really are. They have no motivation to change and it will do no good to try and explain to them why their behavior is toxic as they have no empathy to appeal to.
Find these narcissistic traits in separate posts here on the site so you will have a full understanding and grasp of what they each look and feel like, which you undoubtedly know already if you have suffered in a relationship with a toxic narcissist whether that is a spouse, partner, co-worker, family member, a parent or even a child.
Knowledge and understanding of what narcissistic abuse is and who exactly narcissists are was my first step on my path to healing. I have healed from this abuse but it took me years to even understand that I was in an abusive relationship. I hope this can be of some help to you.
