How Can You Handle The Fear You Are Feeling Effectively

Right now fear is becoming rampant on the planet. We can see it on the news, social media, and our conversations with others. Oh and that endless self-talk in our heads.

Fear, however, is really about a lack of faith in ourselves, and because of this, we don’t trust life. We don’t trust that we’re being taken care of on a higher level, so we feel we must control everything from the physical level. We’re going to feel fear because we can’t control everything in our lives. There is so much going on now on the planet that we feel is beyond our control and how can we deal with this all.

Trust is what we learn when we want to overcome our fears.

It’s that “taking a leap of faith” and trusting in our Inner Guide that’s connected to Universal Intelligence, Source or God, whatever you call the Higher Power in your life. Remember, your Inner Guide is connected to Universal Intelligence and this supplies our breath, keeps our heart beating and keeps all our other systems running efficiently without a thought to any of it, and is the same power/energy that created the Universe.

You’re one with all of life. The more you love yourself and trust life, the more that life will love you, support you and guide you. You can trust in that which is unseen, instead of trusting only in the physical, material world.

We are doing something, however, we need to trust and our lives will be much easier. It’s important to believe and trust that we’re being taken care of, even though we’re not physically in control of everything that’s happening around us.

Fear restricts our minds.

People have so much fear now about getting sick or someone they love will get sick, losing their jobs, or not knowing when they will be getting paid or laid off and even if our kids will return to school. Anger is fear that has become a defense mechanism. It protects us, yet it would be so much more powerful if we stop reevaluating fearful situations in our minds and love ourselves through the fear.

We’re at the center of everything that happens in our lives. Every experience, every relationship, is the mirror of a mental pattern that we have inside us.

If everybody feels fear when approaching something new in life, yet so many are out there doing it despite the fear, then we must conclude that fear is not the problem. The real issue is not the fear, but how we handle the fear.

In every moment we have the opportunity of choosing love or fear. In moments of fear, I turn my thoughts away from what it is that is causing me to feel the fear and choose to focus on something else. I know this may sound too easy but it works every time.

It may also seem too difficult to do at first but for me, but with a little practice, it does reduce the level of anxiety and fear I have at the time. Focusing on the problem whether that may be the pandemic that currently is monopolizing our thoughts and mind, and consciously think of something else, something positive is how to stop the fear. I do this by saying a favorite affirmation.  ” Only good lies before me.” is one I use regularly. I simply repeat this in my head.

Love is the opposite of fear.

The more we’re willing to love and trust who we are, the more we attract those qualities to ourselves. When when we’re caught up in a negative situation like this pandemic, feeling frightened, upset, and worried, does it make us feel better to ruminate about all the fear around the coronavirus? And in fact, when we are caught up in the negative it seems that everything goes wrong in our lives.

What about when we focus on the positive and love ourselves? Everything starts to just flow, and we get the green lights and the best parking spaces. We get up in the morning and the day just rolls out beautifully.

We need to love ourselves so that we can take care of ourselves. This is important to strengthen our hearts, our minds, and our bodies. How I do this is to keep a connection to my Inner Being, the incredible Source within me and all of us. Meditation is one of the ways I keep connected but I have also used other ways to connect like walking in nature, listening to music. spending time laughing with my children, talking to friends, watching funny movies and shows that make me laugh are a few more.

There are many ways to raise our vibration.

In other words, when our energy is high fear can not touch us, we are filled with the high vibration of love instead.

So I repeat an affirmation which is just a thought I am repeating, I also listen to affirmations during the day and also at night when I am sleeping. I found this so effective I decided to make some affirmation videos myself. You can find them on my website and have a listen yourself. There are several and you can find one that will help you release fears, stay grounded and connect with Source.

Here are some of my favorite affirmations for releasing fears. Give them a try or pick one and when you feel afraid and repeat it in your head. Use these for a month or listen to one of my videos and see what happens.

  • I am now willing to see only my magnificence.
  • All is well.
  • Everything always works out for me.
  • I am willing to release my fears.
  • I am a powerful being.
  • I live in a safe and secure world.
  • I am free from all destructive fears and doubts.
  • I accept myself just as I am.
  • I let go of my anxiety and fear now.
  • Only good lies before me.
  • I trust the process of life.
  • I have the power to make changes.
  • I am always divinely protected.

This may seem like a too simplified way to handle your fears effectively but I can say these methods work and are powerful.

Affirmations work. You most likely have heard of Dr. Bruce Lipton so you would know that you are capable of changing yourself by changing your state of mind and what you allow yourself to believe. This is called epigenetics.

Affirmations are specifically designed to speak directly to your subconscious mind.

If you are actively saying the affirmation in your head or actually speaking the affirmation out loud it is best to say them in the first person meaning use “I am affirmations”. If you are passively listening to them in the background, playing them while you are getting ready to sleep or when you are sleeping, it is always best to use the “You are affirmations” since your subconscious mind thinks literally. Affirmations that you listen to passively should always be utilized in the second-person perspective.

Here is one of my videos to cope with Anxiety and Fear Affirmations. Give it a try for a month, listen every day and see how it helps your anxiety become less intense or even mostly non- existent.

I hope this has been helpful to give you some ideas on how to cope effectively with your fear. Know this- this too shall pass.
